Who can nominate?
- Every Scripps alum is encouraged to nominate inspiring alumnae, including themselves.
- Two or more alumnae can work together on a joint nomination.
Can I nominate myself?
- Self-nominations are accepted and encouraged! Read why self-nominations are so important here.
Who can be nominated?
- Any student who attended Scripps for a minimum of one semester is considered a Scripps alum and therefore eligible (graduation is not required).
- Awards honor achievements in all realms: professional, volunteer, or both.
- Recipients must be able to attend the awards ceremony (either in-person or virtually) at Reunion Weekend Convocation on Saturday, May 2, 2026.
How do I submit a nomination?
- Submit online via the nomination form. The nomination period opens in October and closes in December. Recipients are announced in February.
What kinds of information do I include?
Your nominating statement helps the awards committee understand why your story, or the nominee’s story, inspires others and makes you proud to be a Scripps alum.
- Tell us the story any way you like. Details are encouraged.
- Working with a group of alumnae friends can be fun. Please list names and class years of all nominators.
- Feel free to include documents and online links to additional information (publications, websites, resumes or LinkedIn pages, and more).
