Weathering the Drought
For the past two decades, Scripps College has adopted a broad range of sustainability initiatives as part of its charge to protect and preserve the environment. Scripps’ commitment to water conservation and sustainability includes implementation of landscaping projects and an upgraded irrigation system. While these actions will result in some changes to the appearance of Scripps’ grounds, the College is committed to preserving the natural beauty of the campus.

Laspa Center for Leadership ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵ College Established With $5 Million Gift
President Lori Bettison-Varga today announced a $5 million gift to establish a women’s leadership center ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵ College. The new center will be named in honor of Eileen Schock Laspa ’67, P’95 and Jude Laspa, Harvey Mudd College ’65, P’95 who made the keystone gift. The LASPA Center for Leadership ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵ College, the women’s college of The Claremont Colleges, will embody programming focusing on 21st century leadership including Leadership, Analysis, Scholarship, Public Service and Action.
