Scripps Seniors Present Thesis Art Show
Eight senior studio art majors will present their thesis work from May 2 through May 18 at the Ruth Chandler Williamson Gallery. The exhibit focuses primarily on two arenas in contemporary art: mixed media installations and hand-drawn graphic novels. There will be an opening reception on Friday, May 2, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

“Scripps Dances,” the annual spring concert of the Scripps College Dance Department, will take place on Thursday, April 17, and Friday, April 18, at 8 p.m. and Saturday, April 19, at 2 p.m. in Garrison Theater, Scripps College. Her lecture, “Ask For It: How Women Can Use the Power of Negotiation to Get What They Really Want,” will present the four-step negotiation guide detailed in her forthcoming book of the same name.

Noted multiracial advocate Kip Fulbeck will speak on identity and multiraciality on Wednesday, February 27, at 7:30 p.m. in Garrison Theater, Scripps College Performing Arts Center. In addition to his lecture, Fulbeck will also lead a hands-on student workshop entitled “What Are You,” from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
